Overheard at the 7/11

The clerk and customer were obviously discussing the area's water rates.

This caught my ear:

"I'm in Spallumcheen, near the golf course, out in the country. 
We don't have water meters and get only a "family invoice" for water once a year...doesn't cost much."

"Peruse the Spallumcheen real estate listings," grins Kia.

That's probably not far enough away...
