Still Smarting Over Election Results

Glad somebody (supposedly Bill Hutchison, formerly of CTV News) wrote this, as I'm still speechless about Canada's 2019 election results:

"

To Justin Trudeau, this is not a victory. You lost a majority. You lost the popular vote. You lost the raw vote. You lost 18- 20 seats (pending final vote totals) . This is not an endorsement of your record or your policies. You didn't run on them. You ran on not being Doug Ford. You don't have any seats in two provinces. Heal the country that you have divided. Be a national leader and govern better or step aside.
I'm still stunned he was re-elected...albeit with a minority.
This trust-fund child doesn't live in the same world as the rest of us.  Neither does his Finance Minister, Mr. Morneau, who stated right after the election that his government would focus on "fiscal responsibility".  Really?  Really?  But you and your boss have--in 4 short years--brought in a deficit that our grandchildren will be paying off!
And now, a short two weeks later, investment dollars are leaving the country.

To Andrew Scheer, you had an opportunity. This was your election to lose, and you did. Gaining seats is not enough. The Conservatives should choose a new leader, preferably a strong woman from within caucus who can march in a Pride parade and whose resume has been checked. There are some good candidates there.
   Rona Ambrose being one?  Yes!
It was unfortunate that Andrew Scheer made personal attacks at Justin Trudeau...

To Jagmeet Singh, this is not a victory. You are now the fourth place party having lost seats and popular vote. You hold the balance of power only because neither the Libs nor the Cons could win a majority. This is not an endorsement of your policies. Understand this.
The NDP's philosophy is evidenced in what is dividing the province of British Columbia...just think back to the two terms of the NDP in B.C. in the 90's...
Nobody in the NDP has ever so much as owned a popcorn stand on a beach; hence nobody in the NDP has any idea how to run a business, or what a business needs to run effectively and efficiently, i.e. less government intervention!

To Elizabeth May, you have fought the good fight. Now it's time to step aside. You added 50% more seats, but it's only 3. You didn't get the breakthrough many were expecting. Time for a new leader if the Greens are ever going to be more than a fringe party.
Greens as a fringe party is fine with me...

To Maxime Bernier, good bye. You have been swept into the dustbin of history. You are not recyclable.

Presumably because he backstabbed the Conservatives by forming a new party?
But we do hope that the People's Party of Canada (PPC) is lying dead on the Coroner's table...no autopsy required.

Glad that the election is over.
Sure wish the results had been "more valuable".

Gawd...let's hope Trudeau doesn't make it the entire 4 years until the next election.
