Discovered here on our property, but it's entirely reasonable they may not be from here.
No other rocks like the two have been discovered here during the substantial re-working of the property over the last 43 years (for various projects.)
Perhaps the sedimentary rock arrived here as a remnant of glacial till.
Rock hammer nearby, I was reluctant to try to break the layers apart...maybe soon. |
The other, obviously metamorphic, has large crystals of quartz grains, and limestone clasts/breccia.
Is this rock a sign it underwent low-temperature metamorphism? |
