Trying to Avert the Storm

The Coronavirus storm.
How life has changed, but thankfully there's still a life to talk about at this point.

Yes, we're isolating...as much as possible.

It's at times such as these--with no precedent in our lifetimes anyway--that we find ourselves wondering if it would be better to have three generations living in the same house as some cultures do, or whether the way we modern and independent families live our lives is the best course.
I really don't know.

With schools closed, we're babysitting 5-1/2 year old grandson between three and four days a week.
But that necessitates our daughter--or son-in-law--bringing the child over and picking him up again as both adults work in the retail food business and they're still working.

They're understandably pressured with the fear of contracting the virus through customer contact.
And they don't want to bring it home to us, seniors that we are...

Daughter has a day off today and is struggling to get her 2019 year end computer work done for sending to the accountant, so I'll drive over and take the little man off her hands--outdoors--for a few hours.

As the saying goes, it is what it is.

Thoughts and thanks go out to all the medical care workers who are struggling more than the rest of us.

Be well, folks.
