Telus boss jumps the gun?

Today's Morning Star story about telus providing fibre optic internet service throughout much of the Vernon area is good news.

The article details telus' EVP and president of broadband services Tony Geheran explaining the service that'll benefit all residents and businesses of Vernon, Coldstream and the Regional District.

Great news indeed.

Even with the business using my Wi Fi booster and telus' Siemens modem, my "Business Bundle" speed frequently lacks the promised "Hi Speed".
On one very frustrating occasion recently, I performed a speed test.
The results?   "99% slower than your host's average."

Yet somebody should've told Mr. Geheran that his company's website falls flat when following his suggestion:  "You can put in your postal code and the telus.com/Vernon site will tell you when your neighbourhood is due to come online."

Here's what I got when I accessed it and selected Vernon:

The first item, "Telus Fibre" here:  http://www.telus.com/en/bc/search/execute.do
leads to  a blank page!

"Maybe the Rogers website has the information," suggests Kia.

The telus announcement should've probably included a date before which residents should not enter their postal code.
