MP Mel Arnold

Whether readers are, or aren't, Conservative supporters, I'd hazard a guess that most Canadians agree with this letter from MP Mel Arnold.  Especially citizens of B.C., considering the risks!

"Dear...

Thank you for your email in which you raised concerns related to the release of Othman Hamdan and his re-location to Enderby, B.C.
I want you to know that I am also concerned about Hamdan’s release and residency in Enderby while immigration processes run their course, hopefully towards his deportation from Canada.
The citizens of the North Okanagan- Shuswap, and indeed all Canadians, deserve the secure certainty that our immigration system and processes are consistent, fair and support our collective national security.
Last October, the Immigration Review Board (IRB) deemed Hamdan a danger to the security of Canada and determined him to be inadmissible. At that time, the IRB also issued a deportation order for Hamdan. The fact that his deportation has not occurred by now is, for me, as troubling as the fact that he has been released.
Had Hamdan been deported in a timely fashion, we certainly would not be discussing his release today.
Like other citizens of our region, I learned through social media on August 2 that Hamdan had been granted release by IRB Member Geoff Rempel. In short order, I established contact and met with municipal leaders and officials from the City of Enderby
After meeting with the representatives of Enderby, I wrote Minister Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety, who oversees the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA)- the federal agency responsible for dealing with deportation orders among other functions.
In my letter to Minister Goodale, I presented serious concerns and questions related to Hamdan’s release and the processes that preceded his release.
I understand a written response to my questions is forthcoming and I spoke with Minister Goodale by telephone to reiterate our concerns and seek clarification of when Hamdan will be deported from Canada- an outcome supported by the Minister.
At this point, my understanding is that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is processing a Pre-Removal Risk Assessment (PRRA) application submitted by Hamdan earlier this year and pending the outcome of that assessment, Hamdan’s deportation order could potentially be carried out.
I am sure that waiting for another uncertain outcome from an assessment process is not the response you want- it is certainly not the response I want either.
I continue to receive updates from the office of Minister Goodale and am also in communication with the office of Minister Hussen, Minister of Immigration. The ministers’ offices are being provided reiterations of the serious concerns that you and I share with our fellow citizens in the North Okanagan- Shuswap and beyond.
When we are suddenly confronted with unforeseen circumstances, circumstances which threaten our security, we must always uphold the civility and rule of law that set us above the violence and extremism celebrated, promoted and shared by the likes of Othman Hamdan. As a Member of Parliament, the safety and security of all Canadians, especially those I represent, is a top priority.
Again, thank you for taking the time to write and raise your concerns as a concerned citizen of Canada.
Sincerely,
Mel Arnold, M.P.
North Okanagan- Shuswap"

Yes, most Canadians will agree with this letter from MP Arnold...except of course the Federal Liberals, whose ridiculous and often insane "human rights" dogma leads to these types of problems in the first place.

May this man never again be elected as Prime Minister of Canada...The Liberals' dogma is unsatisfactory
