SAC Shunned

...actually SAC dissed.

This blog's story earlier today on the Greater Vernon Advisory Committee applying for a provincial grant to conduct an ultraviolet and air-scrub pilot project on Duteau's waters is proof of Greater Vernon Water's biased strategy...of the stacked deck against members of the Stakeholders Advisory Committee.

The SAC mandate was--presumably still is--to review MWP 2012.

Deliberations--more accurately termed the bureaucrat and consultant-led overview to protect Sacred Duteau--continue with two meetings this month:  January 13th and 20th.

Based on today's Morning Star story by Rolke, we can postulate that GVAC was convinced by GVW bureaucrats that air scrubbing and UV could defer the Interior Health suggestion (not Order) that filtration proceed.

While there's obviously a deadline for the grant application, should not SAC members have been immediately contacted by the GVAC chair--by email--of their plan to consider the pilot project?

By omission, contempt for SAC.
Dissing SAC.
Shunning SAC.

Greater Vernon water bureaucrats and Greater Vernon advisory committee members have a novel way of showing how they value input.

"Bet you didn't have to look up the definition of contempt," suggests Kia.

Nope.
Maybe all those mega-dollar bureaucrats and puffy elected officials need to be reminded the SAC members are all volunteers.
They receive neither wages, mileage nor stipends for giving their time.
