The Beauty of Summer

Summer started two days ago and it's time to post a few more photos of Nature's beauty.

35+ year old Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia) in full bloom

A 5-year old Ivy Geranium...take them indoors every Fall, and they'll restart the next Spring

Asclepias, member of the Milkweed Family, which are loved by Monarch Butterflies, who depend on them as a foodsource for their young.
One of my favourites, Lavender, just starting to bloom, with Yuccas' creamy bells at the driveway edge

The pond is virtually hidden by the lush growth...

And saving the very best for last...

Three Robins...or is it four?...crowding the nest that Mom made in the Jade Tree on the patio.

The beauty of summer is thrilling.
